The Trail of Tears

This storyboard does not have a description.
Us Cherokee were moved here to Indian Territory along the Trail of Tears. My family and I are descendants of the Cherokee that marched the Trail of Tears.
They were marched 800 miles to Indian Territory.
Get moving! We don't put up with no good natives!
Many died due to disease, exhaustion, and malnutrition.
When they got there, they were greeted by a large expanse filled with nothing.
Many of the Cherokee were in despair.
Welcome to your new home!
The Cherokee were on the trail for one reason: the whites' greed. They found that our ancestors lived on top of land rich with gold.
The Georgians had violated their treaty with the Cherokee so they could get the gold.
We're taken your land! You'll come with us peacefully, or you won't see tomorrow.
Yeah! Gold is beneath our feet, and we have full rights to it!
As you can see, us Cherokee have lived a hard life. Not very many of us survived, but we get a little better treatment here than where we used to live with the whites.
