Storyboard Text

  • Hyperbole
  • I can get Luchesi to taste the wine. I heard he is a good wine taster.
  • Nonsense. I have tasted a million wines in my life. I shall see this for myself and determine whether it's Amontillado or not!
  • Maybe we should go back. That sounds like a bad cough. We don't want you dying down here.
  • Satire
  • *Coughs* I'm fine. Let's go.
  • Onomatopoeia
  • *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* Get me out of here!
  • No! You insulted me and now you must pay!
  • In this storyboard you can see that Fortunato says that he has tasted a million wines in his lifetime. This is obviously an example of hyperbole.
  • In this storyboard Montressor says "Maybe we should go back. You have a really bad cough. I don't want you to die down here." Even though he wants him to keep going and he is going to die anyway.
  • When Montresor cuffs Fortunato, Fortunato bangs on the chains. Bang is an example of onomatopoeia because it is a sound being expressed.
