  • James is experincing alienation from the product of one's labor. He works on a car door that goes towards the construction of a car. He stays on the line and therefore doesn't see the end result of the car.
  • Dan is experiencing alienation from the process of one's labor. He helps make burgers. He cannot change the way burgers are prepared or made. Dan is expected to make the food the way he is taught.
  • Eric and Amanda both work at the same factory. The boss has recently announced the possibility of a bonus in pay for employee of the month. This is an example of alienation from others. The workers are competing with one another to earn the bonus.
  • Allen had a huge passion for baking all sorts of food. Due to the high demand of his product he has felt stress like never before. This is an example of alienation from one's self.
  • Carl is about to vote for the first time. He has voted for a candidate that benefits the the upper class instead of his own economical range.  He is unaware of this. This is an example of false consciousness. 
  • An example of class consciousness would be a wealthy man thinking they are better then someone of a lower class. Just because the wealthy man has money he thinks that makes him better
