  • TCP/IP uses several communication protocols that are used to connect to the internet host. Transmission control protocol will check that all packets from the host have arrived to the computer this means that the computer receives the data before user access. Internet protocol is where the data is being sent to the it is the address of the request.

  • The are four layers datalink this is where the computers are connected together. second is internet this is where data is being transferred through the network. thirdly transport is where the data manages the communication with the host. finally application which deals with data consistency.

  • AppleTalk is a LAN communication protocols that were created by for Apple computers. AppleTalk used to connect and transfer data from the host to the node. this type of protocol was created to communicate between the apple nodes. AppleTalk used the OSI model to make sure the communication was effective.

  • UDP stands for "User Diagram Protocol"
  • UDP is like another TCP Protocol. this is used mainly to establish a lossless connection between different applications on the internet. UDP provides access to the internet with lower latency and less errors. UDP is used mainly in DNS as they need to be fast and only consist of a single request.

  • 802.2 is a logical link control which manages data flow. 802.2 manages traffic over the physical network this helps regulate how much data is being transferred at a time. this manages the upper upper layers of the OSI model.
