Debater 1 (right) introduces his claim and states: History does determine out future because History is what shapes us. History shapes our mindsets and our perspective and that same perspective is used to see the future. (Pause; Debater 2 waits for 3 seconds before he speaks)
Debater 2 argues, "That don't perspectives change over time as you grow intellectually based on certain experience. See, I believe that History doesn't shape our future unless we let it. In order to elaborate and corroborated, America chose to declare freedom of religion as a human right and they chose to change it, they didn't sit there and let history define them.
