  • The Estates General is a legislative assembly of the different classes. The classes consisted of three estates.
  • The 1st estate consisted of clergy, like priests, nuns, and monks.
  • Hey, go tell everyone I want a meeting, we ain't got no money!
  • Yes sir! Very Good Sir!
  • The 2nd estate was consisted of nobility and they paid no taxes, which lead to the third estate to pay the taxes.
  • Have you read, "What is the 3rd Estate?"
  • The Third Estate was mainly shopkeepers, peasants, crafts people and a lot of the peasants and poor were part of the Third Estate.
  • This is King Louis XVI Sending a messenger to let others know that he wants a meeting because he wanted to talk about the Financial Problems going on.
  • The Third Estate broke away from the other estates, and Joseph Sieyes's pamphlet, "What is the 3rd Estate?",  is what influenced the 3rd Estate to do so.
