Storyboard Text

  • Mary starts to take codeine
  • I hope the pain will be gone
  • Mary starts to have initial effects.
  • I can feel that the pain is slowly starting to go away. I feel so happy!!! But I sometimes feel a bit sleepy.
  • Mary continues to take codeine when she's not supposed to
  • Now... I should probably stop taking codeine since my pain is gone. But I wanna feel like what I felt when I was taking codeine... Codeine helps me to cope with bullying. I'll just continue having it for a bit more
  • Ok, thanks!
  • Doctor provides Mary the tablet form of codeine. It looked simple. Just white, and small tablets.
  • I'll give you this most common tablet form. Just drink this tablet with water. Make sure that you follow the dosage or else there'll be a very high chance of you getting addicted
  • Codeine
  • At this point, Mary already knew that she really should stop taking codeine. However, codeine already built up tolerance in her body, and she had to take more doses every time because her body depended on it.
  • I don't know what to do anymore... My body needs it even though I want to stop.
  • Unfortunately, Mary passed away from overdosage of codeine and sleeping pills, which caused her some serious breathing problems. Her family was very very sad. This taught everyone a lesson that you should never use painkiller when you're not in pain, ESPECIALLY with other drugs. Your body will start to depend on it and it's going to be difficult to stop.
