  • When Boone was 12 years old he got his first rifle.
  • He got a lot of skill very fast and shot a bear when a lot of kids his age were too scared.
  • in 1755, Daniel Boone left his home to military expedition that was a part of the French and Indian War. 
  • In August of 1756, Daniel changed Rebecca Bryan's last name to Rebecca by marring her.
  • Over 24 years the Boones had ten kids together.
  • In 1767, Boone led his own expedition for the first time. They went hunting along the Big Sandy River in Kentucky and went all the way to Floyd Country.
  • In May 1769, Boone was a leader of another expedition with John Finley, they explored the Cumberland Gap.
  • On September 26, 1820, Daniel Boone died of natural causes in his home in Femme Osage Creek, Missouri. Boone died at the age of 85.
