Hello class! Today we are learning about meta cognition. There are also three brains and three reads. First read and brain go first. The first brain is very light it is just taking in the new information from the text.
In first read make sure to circle unknown vocabulary words, this will help you understand the text better. Make sure to use tally marks when your mind wonders other wise you'll end up confused. This strategy is very helpful. Like I said the first brain is very light and is just getting the gist of things.
This is second read your rain is heavier this read because you will understand more now. Remember those circled words??? Well, now you need to find those definitions and reread the the sentence in your own words. You will still need to tally mark things so that you remember to pay attention.
