Storyboard Text

  • It's Hot In Here!I'm Melting!
  • Metamorphic Rocks are formed with intense pressure and heat inside the Earth's crust from sedimentary and igneous rocks.
  • The Volcano Exploded! Yay! I'm flying through the sky! It's much colder now!I'm an igneous rock!
  • Igneous Rocks are formed through the cooling of magma.  They cool and solidify.
  • I landed in the ocean. WooHoo! It's so relaxing here!  But I've been here awhile and the ocean has eroded me! I am sediment now!
  • Sedimentary rock is formed when other rocks have been eroded, weathered, and become sediment. They are deposited with eachother and compacted together over time!
  • All of the sediment from the ocean have been deposited here on this beautiful beach!  I've been sunbathing here for quite sometime. Now I'm a sedimentary rock!
  • It's a long story, but more rocks piled on top of me, pushed me back into the hot, hot earth , and I turned into a metamorphic rock again!
  • The tectonic plates moved here and there...and now I'm back in this volcano!
  • My sediment got deposited back on the shore, and a bunch of my sediment friends merged with me and now I'm a sedimentary rock again!!!
  • What a ride! I came out of the volcano, as sediment of igneous rock, and hung out in the clouds. It eventually rained and my sediment got put into the ocean again!
