Storyboard Text

  • This illness does not lead to death: rather it is for God's glory, so that the son of God may be glorified through it.
  • Lord, he whom you love is ill
  • I must go wake up Lazarus.
  • Lazarus has died, I must go.
  • If he is just sleeping, he will wake up.
  • Approx. 2 days before Lazarus died, Mary and Martha, Lazarus' sisters, sent Jesus a message.
  • Lord, if you had come earlier my brother would not be dead.
  • And so Jesus stayed where he was and preached for a further 2 days.
  • Jesus, where are you?
  • Jesus knew Lazarus had died and so he said to his disciples; 'i must go wake him up' but the disciples didn't understand so Jesus explained and then they started walking to Bethany.
  • Poor Lazarus...
  • When Jesus neared Bethany, Martha met with him
  • Your brother will rise again, soon.
  • Martha went back home and told Mary that the teacher had come and was looking for her. So she went to talk with him and the Jews followed so Jesus had to hide because these Jews did not like him.
  • Mary, Martha, and Jesus went to the tomb to weep and bring Lazarus back and wake him up.
