Storyboard Text

  • Mary, have you heard anything about what's happening in North and South Korea
  • No why, is something wrong there.
  • Yes, there is a war between the two countries, and America is part of the war.
  • Does that mean that the American people are going to be in the war.
  • No, but since daddy is in the army he is going to be fighting in the war
  • Does that mean I won't see daddy anymore.
  • Not necessarily, but you won't see him for at least a few months.
  • What started the war?
  • North Korea attacked South Korea of June 25, 1950, because they were ordered to by Kim Il Sung. The leader of Japan.
  • But what is the point of attacking South Korea?
  • They wanted all of Korea instead of just part of it. They also wanted South Korea to be a communist country which is a bad way to rule a country.
  • Oh, okay. But they should have just kept to  their area.
