NO MORE TAX FOR PAPER, NO MORE TAX FOR PAPER!!!!
The king had told the town that he was going to tax every piece of print, to stop smuggling.
The colonists were infuriated at the fact that they had to pay double the price for their everyday tasks, such as writing the newspaper or making letters.
In response to this unwanted law the colonists boycotted and didn't buy any printed objects which made the king and parliament upset because they were loosing profit.
The colonists were angry (with all the right) because the king passed a law known as the Townshend Act which means that the colonists had to house and provide food for the soldiers.
The colonists were really mad because while the unwanted soldiers were staying at their houses they had to wash their clothes, sharpen their weapons, provide food, and take care of them.
