  • In 1337, Charles IV died without a son, so his first cousin, taken over as leader making him King Phillip VI. He took over the duchy of Aquitaine. Edward III had told about it to the French throne, beginning Hundred Years War.
  • The fighting mostly took place in France and was in the years 1337- 1453. Lots of new weapons were introduced in the Hundred year such as cross bows, swords, shields, and cannons with gunpowder.
