Storyboard Text

  • Athena also wanted Medusa dead, so she decided to help Perseus. She gave him a shield and instructions to go find some nymphs who would help him.
  • Thank you Athena!
  • Here is a mirrored shield. Do not look directly into Medusa's eyes or you will be turned to stone. Good luck.
  • Athena gave Perseus directions to Atlas, who then told Perseus where the Graeae were. The three Graeae sisters shared one eye for the three of them, and would say where the nymphs were.
  • I will give you your eye back if you tell me where to find the nymphs.
  • Fine!
  • Perseus found the nymphs in the River Styx. They gave him the Helmet of Invisibility and a special bag for carrying Medusa'a head in.
  • The River Styx
  • Here are the Helmet of Invisibility and a bag for Medusa's head. Have fun!
  •  Then Hermes arrived and gave Perseus a sword and winged sandals.
  • Thank you, Hermes!
  • The River Styx
  • I have a sword and winged sandals for you. Use them well.
  • Perseus finally found Medusa sleeping in a cave. He used the shield that Athena gave him as a mirror so that he didn't have to look at Medusa directly.
  • Ahh! Medusa!
  • Medusa's Lair
  • Perseus sliced off Medusa's head and shoved it into his bag. As he did so, Pegasus flew out of Medusa's neck. Then Perseus escaped with his winged sandals.
  • Ha ha! I have killed you!
  • Medusa's Lair
