The theme of order vs. disorder is shown because Christopher determines if he's going to have a good day or not based off of how many red or yellow cars he sees on the way to school.
This is portraying betrayal because Christopher has just found out the truth about his mother being alive and that his father has lied to him. Christopher finds the letters from his mom in his fathers room.
Logic vs. Emotion
In this scene love is being shown between Christopher and his mother as the share a special moment on Christmas while Christopher plays with his trains.
This scene portrays trust because ms.Alexander invites Christopher into her home to talk and he leaves without telling her because he doesn't know her well enough yet and doesn't trust her.
Christopher is being taken to jail by the police officer and for most people that would make them feel uneasy and scared but for Christopher her feels safe because he knows the police officer is doing his job so he's using logic over emotion in this situation.
Siobahn teaches Christopher how to understand facial cues and what they mean when having a conversation with someone.
