  • I want my uncles thrown!!

  • Jason was killed!

  • AHHHH SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!
  • I'll save you!!!!
  • Pelias wanted to take the thrown away from his uncle and take it for himself.  "Phrixus has an uncle who was by rights a king in Greece, but had his kingdom taken away from him by his nephew, a man named Pelias." (Hamilton 124)
  • Event #4
  • We want to be your crewmen!!
  • to Hera deceived Pelias by making him believe that Jason was dead to protect him. "The King's young son, Jason, the rightful heir to the kingdom, had been sent secretly away to a place of safety..." (Hamilton 124)
  • Event #5
  • Hera tests Jason's bravery by "drowning" in the river and seeing if he would choose to save her or continue his quest. 
  • Event #6
  • Jason was trying to find crewmen to board his ship.  "And so it came to pass that word went out the length and breadth of Greece that Jason was looking for shipmates to embark upon a perilous but glamorous adventure." (Hamilton 124)

  • Jason is given the quest to get the Golden Fleece. He takes off in his ship called "Argo".  "And so one bright autumn morning the Argo set out to sea, her benches crewed by lusty ranks of heroic rowers." (Hamilton 125) 
  • Jason and his argonauts are about to go near the rocks that crash together when any ship sails through them.  "Phineus informed the Argonauts of a danger just ahead on the route to the Golden Fleece - two rocks called the Symplegades, which crashed together upon any ship passing between them." (Hamilton 125)
