Oediopus is born.
King Laius of Thebes learned from an oracle that he was destined to be killed by his own son, and marry his mother.
King Laius decided that his newborn could not live. He sent a servant to kill the newborn, but the servant couldn't so he left the newborn to hang by his ankles to die.
Oediopus is saved by shepherd.
The shepherd takes Oedipus toPolybus, the king of Corinth. The queen, who had no children.
Oediopus grows up.
