  • Hitler is invading Austria to annex them into Nazi Germany. This caused many changes in Austrians lives.
  • Hitlers soldiers were forcing Austrian Jews out of their homes so that they could take them to concentration camps.
  • Jews and German citizens could not be marriedThere would be no extramarital relations between Jews and German citizens.Jews may not employ in their households female citizens of German or related blood who are under 45 years old.
  • Hilter invading Austria caused many problems, one being disturbing the peace. The biggest newspaper at the time in Austria was " Kronen Zeitung".
  • There were over 200,000 Jews affected by the Austrian Anschluss. Most of those Jews were taken to concentration camps.
  • The Nuremburg Laws were applied immediately to Austrian Jews when the Germans invaded. Some people who had only one Jewish grandparent were still considered a Jew under these laws.
  • Many Jewish stores and homes were looted and destroyed on a day now named "Night of Broken Glass"
