Hi, my name is Isabelle and I am going to tell you how I got my identity stolen a while back.
Identity Theft is the use of a person's private identifying information; used for gain
On May 18th, 2017, I was signing up for some insurance and my nasty neighbor was looking at my information I was putting in.
After she saw all my personal information like social security, account number, credit card number, etc... She started typing it down so she could use it for her personal business.
After a couple of bills went on my account that I did NOT purchase, I had a feeling that someone stole my info. I decided to file a report with the Federal Trade Commission.
After I finally got my identity back, I talked to my boss about it and he agreed to give me single cubicle. I also learned that if I need to do private stuff, I need to do it at home!
So remember, If you find something odd about your accounts, talk to the credit reporting agencies so they can help you out. The Credit Agencies are Equifax, Experian PLC, and Trans. One last thing, Be smart and safe! especially with your private information!!
