  • The narrator is talking to himself telling himself that he is not crazy. He keeps thinking about how he is crazy and why he is not reliable. He keeps talking about his disease and an eye.
  • Climax
  • The narrator wants to get rid of the "Evil Eye." Thinks that death and the evil eye is coming after him. The old man does not know it yet.
  • Falling Action
  • The narrator comes in every night to the old mans bedroom. He shines a light on his eye. Then he does this for a week without the old man knowing.
  • Resolution
  • I confess! I did it!
  • The narrator goes in one night and the old man sits up. Then the narrator suffocates him by tipping his mattress over on him. The old man then dies.
  • Can't...... Breathe
  • The narrator chops him up and puts him under the floor. The cops show up and the narrator takes them to sit and talk in the room. They just keep on talking to him and each other.
  • The narrator starts freaking out. He gets paler and paler by the minute. Soon his guilt catches up to him. He soon confesses to the cops and goes to jail.
