We are going to go over how begin a leg ride, "throw the boots in" from the top position in Folkstyle Wrestling.
From the top position, you are going to want to "crash" or knock your opponents hips to ground.
Once you have crashed his or her hips, you will fully extend your bottom leg to free it from being pinned under your opponent.
Once you have freed your leg, you will raise your ankle slightly, and hook it into your opponents bottom leg.
You now have your first boot in, and can choose to go with a cross body ride as shown.
Or... you can use your first boot to get your hips back on top, and throw in the second boot for a full leg ride. It is up to you, and what you are most comfortable with.
