Storyboard Text

  • Cabinet Battle of Hamilton's Financial plan
  • not again....
  • It needs to happen
  • It's unconstitutional
  • Whisky Rebellion
  • No Taxing our Whisky!
  • The French Revolution
  • Lets be neutral!
  • We are going to be neutral!
  • Lets join them
  • Hamilton and Jefferson start arguing about the financial plan.Hamilton's plan was to pay off debt, create national bank, and put up a tariff.Jefferson didn't agree with the plan because he thought it would be unconstitutional and because he should be very strict, but Hamilton thought that it was to be flexible. The connection is that the constitution should be flexible because we can not create new task forces.
  • Hamilton wanted to make a source of government revenue so he thought of a plan to put a tax of whisky and it was passed. The people reacted negatively and the farmers got violent because it was a source of profit for them, so they started riots. The government tried to settle it peacefully but later used groups of militias. It shows that the government should always be ready to handle their citizens.
  • The French were inspired from us getting our independence and so they started a revolution.Hamilton thought that we should not help them and just be neutral by sending supplies to either side to grab.Jefferson thought we should help them because they helped us during the war.The connection is that the country needs to think about the sensitive situations very carefully.
