  • It is known that the Great Depression officially began when the stock market crashed, which is the sudden drop of prices.
  • The stock market leveled off in 1933, with the introduction of President Roosevelt's idea, the New Deal.
  • Even after the Great Depression, commodities, which are farm products farmed and sold in commerce, prices started falling, because so much was being made at the time. Every time more cattle, cotton, or grains were being made, the stock prices were droppig.
