Human Diaspora - How?
Scientists Went to Work...
Our ancestors evolved in Africa over 200,000 years ago (or 200KYA).
...and unlocked the secrets from the DNA
Scientists, however, have been wondering how our ancestors populated the rest of the globe.
New puzzling discoveries came with the secrets...
Three teams of scientists looked into the DNA of 787 indigenous people across the globe.
... as well as new questions.
All three teams came to the same solution independent of one another: Homo sapiens migrated out of Africa ~80KYA to 50KYA in one big wave.
Papua New Guinea DNA has traces of a much older migration (~120KYA) than that discovered), forcing us to recreate the human tree.
For example, why did our ancestors leave their tropical paradise at all?
