Storyboard Text

  • Why are you upset John?
  • I got the problem wrong... AGAIN! AGHH!
  • Sarah, I got the problem wrong... AGAIN! AGHH!
  • Did you take some time before you started to understand the problem?
  • ...ummm....not really... I just looked at the numbers in the problem and added them.
  • Oh... I see... Well, the first step is to understand the problem. Reread the problem. What is the question asking you to do?
  • Ummm... It is asking me to figure out how much money Mr. Sanford had left as his fortune.
  • Okay great! The next step is to come up with a plan. What type of strategy may help you solve this problem?
  • Oh! I think drawing a model would help me!
  • Now that I understand the problem and have a strategy I am ready to figure out the problem!
  • Wonderful! The next step is to execute your plan!
  • Am I checking each step as I work? Am I keeping a record of my work so I can explain how I finally got this answer to Sarah?
  • I got it! All done!
  • Well you aren't done quite yet! Don't forget to reread the problem and review your work! Does your answer make sense? Is it a reasonable answer?
  • Don't forget that I need to write my answer in a complete sentence!
