Hello, I'm Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu but you could just call me Montesquieu. I was born on January 18, 1689 in La Brède, France.
I'm most known for being a great political philosophers of the Enlightenment.I constructed a naturalistic account of the various forms of government, and of the causes that made them what they were and that constrained their development.
I also explain how governments might be preserved from corruption. I saw despotism,in particular, as a standing danger for any government
A few years later I had to return back home because my father had passed away and I had to to manage the estates I inherited. Not long after that my uncle passed away and I inherited something from him.
shortly after that i married my wife Jeanne de Lartigue and had three kids with her. one boy and two girls. my sons name was Jean-Baptiste de Secondat and my daughters names were Marie-Josèphe-Denise de Secondat, and Marie-Catherine de Secondat.
i died at the age of 66 on 1755. I died because I had a really bad fever
