Storyboard Text

  • Hi Joanne, have you read the short story called Oedipus Rex? I heard it's a great piece of ancient text.
  • Why yes I did Bob. I am aware of all the important themes and messages that are within the book.
  • Do you want me to explain what the themes are next time when we meet at dinner?
  • Sure! That would be great .
  • First off the only themes that have major significance are about fate and Free Will, the importance of wisdom and knowledge, determination, power, and memories of the past.
  • WOW! Very intriguing. I'm sure these themes correlate most to the protagonist.
  • Do you want me to summarize the story so you have a better understanding of the plot?
  • Okay, I think that would help.
  • Oedipus sets out to investigate the murder of Laius, however this ends up being a waste of time since he himself was the murderer.
  • Oh yes, it is coming back to me. There is also a massive plague that had struck the city of Thebes because of an event that took place there.
  • Well thank you very much for informing be about that story! Perhaps we could end the night with a kiss?
  • First off, no. I have a boyfriend Bob. Anyways if you ever need to be lectured about ancient literature just send me a text.
