Storyboard Text

  • Rising Action
  • After seven nights, and his eye still isn´t open.
  • Climax
  • His eye would trouble me no more.
  • Falling Action
  • Taking them all over the house, I told them to search- search well.
  • The rising action represents a related series of incidents that build toward the point of greatest interest. The boy checks in on the man for a week straight and something crazy happens on the eighth night. " On the eighth night, I was more careful than usual in opening the door. For the first time I felt how powerful I was. "
  • The climax represents the point in the story at which the conflict is resolved and the story outcome is clear. The boy killed the man, not because of who the man was but because of his evil eye. He killed him by dragging him off his bed and pulling the heavy bed over him and then cutting up his body. "I put my hand on his heart and held it there many minutes. No heartbeat. "
  • The falling action in a story occurs after the climax has been reached and the conflict has been resolved. " A neighbor had heard a scream and had gone to the police station. These men had been sent to search the place. " The boy was so confident that he hid the body so well though so he didn't worry one bit.
