gifts to the gods
after ten years of war one king named Odysseus thought the loss was too great for one person that person was Helen. at first he thought that if he made offerings to the gods they would favor them.
i do not like this horse. we need to burn it
Then Odyssues thought that they would give the gift to the Trojans a hollowed out wooden horse. They would put there best warriors inside
at dawn the Greeks pretended to leave sadly and left the horse out side the walls of Troy and left but didn't go all the way back to Greece
After the Greeks left a priest came and looked at the horse he inspected it then nocked on it. He found it was hollow and he didn't like that so he told the people to burn it.
Then the gods Hera and Athena steped in and sent a serpent that killed the priests and his sons. The people of troy took that as the gods were not happy with the priest and they took the horse into the city and celebrated there victory
That night when the city was quit the soldiers got out of the horse they opened the gates so the ships that went back to Greece could get inside the walls and killed all who challenged them. To make sure nobody would follow them they burned down the whole city of troy.
