Storyboard Text

  • On May 18th, 1896 in the Plessy vs. Ferguson case, a law was passed declaring blacks and whites separate but equal public facilities.
  • Fast forward to the 1950's, many African Americans, and white people as well, were fed up with this "separate but equal" lie.
  • We want change now!!!
  • The bullying of African Americans was everywhere.
  • I'm sorry. I must've went through the wrong door.
  • Many retaliated hoping to gain change from sit-ins.
  • What?!? You CANNOT sit there!
  • I believe I just did.
  • Unfortunately some people including Rosa Parks got arrested for their actions against segregation.
  • Let's go ma'am.
  • The NAACP had began working hard to at least challenge the regulation laws in schools.
  • Something CAN be done about this.
  • Agreed!
