  • Oh my goodness, I'm worried about what's going to happen in the Colonies after we threw all the tea in the harbor.
  • It's OK Miss. I heard that the Continental Congress is going to stand up for our rights. 
  • I'm so glad we live in a land where we have leaders that stand up for our rights.
  • American patriots didn't like the taxes that the British said they had to pay. They boarded the ship from England that was in the Boston harbor and threw all the tea into the water.
  • As a result of the Boston Tea Party, the British created the Intolerable Acts; their goal was to prove their control over the colonies but the laws had the opposite effect.
  • Leaders like Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin fought against Britian's injustices with their words,demanding freedom. Others, like General George Washington rallied the troops.
