One day I was taking a walk in the forest and came across a big body of water. I leaned down to fill up my water bottle, and I saw a bunch of trash floating inside of it. It was so gross. I saw an oil covered bird and I felt really bad! I decided to just go on with my hike.
I kept walking until I found something halfway decent to drink. I came across a beautiful waterfall! I went closer and I saw a bunch of trash and oil floating around. All I could think about was the poor animals that had to live in that place.
I was determined to go to the town mayor and tell them about all the trash and oil that was laying around. No animal deserves to live in a place full of trash and oil.
I was very scared and worried about what the mayor was going to say about my complaint and idea and how to fix it. I waited for a very long time before the mayor got the idea I was there.
I talked with the mayor, and he agreed to send a team out to clean the area! I was so happy that he decided to listen to me and do good things for the forest.
Over 10 people went out to the forest and helped pick up trash by the water. Water is something that we should all take care of and not treat badly. Once it's gone, it's gone. And more than likely we won't get it back.
