The Lady of Shalott -Alfred, Lord Tennyson
The Lady of Shalott spent her days and nights in her tower. She was missing the beautiful outdoors. The willows, the fields, the breeze, and the flowing river. She had been wasting away weaving her life away. Little did she know, she would soon experience what she'd been missing.
She began to wonder what she was missing. She could see the people outside. She could hear them. She wanted to be apart of that. But, she was in her tower...weaving.
La la la la la! Hmm hmm hm hm hmm!
The Lady of Shalott, knowing she was not supposed to leave her tower, left. Once she saw a loving couple, she needed to be out there with them. She wanted a love of her own. So, once she looked away from her mirror, it shattered and the curse had now been forced upon her. She was determined to get across the river and find her a man, though.
Once the Lady of Shalott had the curse take action on her, she died. The boat she was going to take to meet people and have a normal life, sat in the river. She left her name so everyone would know she tried. But, sadly, she did not and her chance at finding love diminished.
