Before the murder, Macbeth was debating about going through with the murder but was convinced my Lady Macbeth that it was still a go idea. He feels conflicting emotions, that maybe he shouldn't do it but in the end, the side of him that wants to do murder wins

After the murder though, Macbeth starts to have doubts and feels remorseful. He starts to regret what he has done and doesn't even want to go back into the room to frame the servants.
