This is Steve. He is a normal guy, with an average house and an average life. Little does he know his life is about to change...
Oh that's not so bad
Out of nowhere, Steve is mauled by a robber! Luckily, he has his right to bear arms, so he took out his gun to defend himself
We're the government, we are now going to force evreyone to be a doctor.
Steve decided to tell Twitter about how he saved himself today. Another benefit of his rights is that the government can't break into his house right now and take his phone from him without a search warrant. This is called the right to privacy.
Steve Wasn't Bailed
Unfortunately for Steve the government decided to build a new shopping center where his town house is, so they evicted him. But, with eminent domain, the government had to pay Steve fair market value for his property, which isn't as bad as Steve thought it would be.
We'll give you $250,000
What we didn't know about Steve is that in between these scenes he committed a crime. So here he is getting arrested and his bail being posted. He only J-Walked so his bail is only about ten bucks. Good thing it is a right to have a bail that is equal to the crime! Also in the background notice another right being displayed, that is anything not specifically given to the federal government automatically is given to the states.
Hey weren't you just evicted? Anyways, your bail is ten bucks.
You can't do that! The Constitution never gave the federal government that right! So it goes to the people!
Unfortunately for Steve no one loves him enough to bail him, and he didn't have ten bucks on him. But at least he has the right to a fair and speedy trial, so he will only have to wait in jail for a day while the court room frees up for his trial. Spoiler: Steve was sentenced to two days community service.
