  • How Zeus Dethroned his Father
  • Rhea
  • Cronos had just dethroned his father and had become king of the Titans. His wife, Rhea, had become queen alongside Cronos.
  • Cronos
  • Cronos's father
  • As Cronos's father was dying, he left Cronos with a prophecy stating that one of his own sons will dethrone him just like how Cronos dethroned his own father.
  • Poseidon
  • After Cronos's father had stated that prophecy, Cronos decided to swallow the first five children he had with his wife: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon.

  • Hestia
  • Zeus
  • Rhea wanted a child who wouldn't be swallowed by Cronos, so she decided to take Zeus, the new born child, in a cave to raise him in secret, away from Cronos.
  • Zeus was finally old enough to meet Cronos, and luckily, Cronos was pleased because of the boy's beauty and character.
