  • A spies work was very important. Spies gathered enemy information and movements, but the more well known spies are those who hid among the enemy and gathered information.
  • Spies gave lots of info that helped win battles, and their work could've affected the out come of the war.
  • A interesting fact is that during the time of the civil war the north used hot air balloons to track enemy movements and locations.
  • Spies had a great impact on our nation helping us and hurting us. Depending on the spies point of view they could'be helped win or lose battles.
  • Harriet Tubman herself set up a vast espionage ring of slaves who acted as servants and workers to spy on southerners.
