Good morning teachers and my dear friends today I am going to tell you about the civilization of India
Indus valley civilization developed in the north western part of India.
It developed on the banks of the River Indus.
It is because Harappa was discovered first in 1921. In 1922 Mohenjodaro was discovered.
Indus valley civilization is also known as Harappan Civilization.
The British people unknowingly destroyed the fired - burned bricks for the Lahore and Karachi rail line
Archeologists found Unique design called Red and Black Ware, stone weights, seals with the Indus script and copper tools
They paid great attention to health and cleanliness. The largest building so far discovered is the Great Bath.
Rakhigarhi, Dhloavira and Ganweriwala are recently discoverd sites. The people developed pictographic script.
Wheat and barley were the main crops cultivated by the people. The main art and crafts were Bronze figurines, Ornaments, Bead Making, Seal, Terracotta etc.
Around 1750 BCE, the Harappan Civilization began to decline. There the soil fertility decreased, Influx of refugees, the rivers died etc.
