We have come to North Africa in accordance with the order from the Führer.
We occupied Tobruk. 33,000 British soldiers captured. Our target is Egypt
We reached al Alamein in Egypt and started to fight the British again.
In February 1941, German troops arrived in Libya. their aim was to get Allied States out of North Africa. That's why the German army attacked in 1941.
After the defeat, I ordered the withdrawal.
The German army, led by General Rommel, invaded Tobruk on June 21, 1941. Then the German Army went to Egypt, but there were English in Egypt.
I was also called to Germany by the Führer. That's why I'm going to Germany.
We were in trouble. Enemy approaching.
The Germans who reached al Alamein in Egypt in July 1942 fought with the British who were superior to them, but they were defeated.
Rommel defeated by the British in Egypt in the autumn of 1942, retreated to Tunisia because his enemies were very powerful, and Rommel didn't have much equipment.
In the last months of 1942, Allied States launched operation Torch. This operation has damaged the German presence in North Africa.
Marshal Rommel returned to Germany for being commissioned on the Western Front, but his soldiers remained in Tunisia. In 1943, when the Allies arrived in Tunisia, and they captured thousands of German soldiers.
