  • The Start of Something New
  • You're completely right! I say we create our own voting group! Maybe we could call it the National Assembly. In fact, we can even overthrow the king with this much power!
  • This isn't fair at all! We make up 98% of the population, so why are we being treated differently than estates 1 and 2? It's not fair that we have to pay taxes and they don't.
  • Fear Lies Within
  • I don't trust the French army to guard me! Mercenaries, make certain that no man enters this palace with the intent to do harm!
  • Big changes
  • What do you think you're doing?? You can't just come in here and take my land! What is the reason for this anyway?
  • Sorry sir, but we need this land so we can sell it in order to pay off our debt.
  • In this scene, members of estate 3 decide that enough is enough. They are sick of being treated like the lowest class, even though they make up most of the population. They have to pay a lot more taxes than the other estates. Eventually, the king will plead with other states that they join the National Assembly.
  • The End of a Monarchy
  • You are being found guilty of treason, and you are being given the death sentence...
  • In this scene, King Louis has requested that the Swiss mercenaries guard his palace instead of the French army. This is because there have been many acts of rebellion, where members of the 3rd estate destroyed the papers that bound them to pay taxes.
  • Republic of Virtue
  • This scene represents the National Assembly taking church lands in order to pay off debts. This comes after the unification of the 1st and 2nd estates with the National Assembly. Because of this, the Declaration of The Rights of Man was created, which gave equal rights to all man.
  • Totalitarian War
  • HA! HA! HA! Napoleon will never be able to catch me! I'm gonna burn all the livestock and farmland in his way.
  • In this scene, King Louis is being sentenced to death by the guillotine. He was found guilty of treason. Because of his death, the monarchy was abolished.
  • In this scene, Maximilien Robespierre declared wanted to build a 'Republic of Virtue'. He became the head of public safety, which gave him the power to determine who the enemy of the state was. He got drunk with power, and executed nearly 30,000 people. In 1794, he was executed.
  • I declare you, you, and you the enemies of the state!
  • This scene shows Alexander running away from Napoleon in Russia, burning all cattle and farmlands in his way. The remaining villages refused to give their food to Napoleon's army.
