Nikola Tesla was born on the 10th of July 1856 at Croatia during a lightning storm.
At school, he loved science and math. He was so good at difficult math that the teacher though he was cheating.
At the age of 24 he came up with an idea for a new electrical system. To achieve this goal, he flew to New York.
Thomas Edison said that if Nikola could improve his invention, he would give him $50 000. However, he was betrayed, disgusted he left.
Luckily, other people believed in his talent. He invented the AC or alternating current after a year. In 1983 he was asked to make a power display of 100,000 lights and he was recognised by millions of people.
He didn't stop there. In the end, he invented over 700 objects such as the radio, x-ray, remote control, neon lights ad robotics. On his 75th birthday, he received many wishes from famous scientists like Einstein. He died at the age of 86 in 1943.
