I am so excited for my field trip to the heart! I cant wait to be with more red blood cells!
speaking of blood cells, the white blood cells have been kind enough to be our guide for this trip through the heart.
Our trip starts in the Superior Vena Cava. while were there we will be seeing things like oxygen going in and out of the lungs/body!
The order my trip is in is: first off, the SVC. Then comes the right atrium, then the first valve, the tricuspid valve. After, is the right ventricle!
then we would be in the right artery. remember, at hat time we would be in the deoxygenated area, so after leaving the artery we would be in the pulmonary veins, which leads into the oxygenated area.
after lots of travelling, we take a break at the next valve, the pulmonary valve.
We are down here, in the left ventricle! next comes the aortic valve. Then the next stop is the aorta! I am so excited!
After the aorta we get to end our trip with an exciting adventure up through the legs, that go into the inferior vena cava.
This is the IVC, the little tube coming out of the bottom of the heart. This is where we are right now. Now I would like to thank the capillaries for guiding me in and out of the lungs.
I would also like to give a big applause to the platelets fir giving me a once in a lifetime sight, by quickly closing up a cut in the heart, and repairing it. It was very impressive!!
