Storyboard Text

  • Hey, thanks again for showing me around Jessie!
  • No problem, Jake! At West Monroe we believe in the philosophy that states that education is the foundation for building and improving a better way of life and helping each individual student face the challenges in our global society.
  • So what are some of these rules?
  • To be able to perform at our best possible potential, we do have to follow a few simple rules though!
  • Hey Robert, you know you can't be wearing that at school! You should follow the rules like Bianca.
  • Adhere to dress and physical appearance guidelines at all times.
  • In this slide, we have two students walking down the hallway discussing what we believe in here at West Monroe High School. In essence, she is describing what we expect at our school.
  • Did you see The Bachelor last night? DRAMA!
  • Now, we see the demand meets the supply and creates the equilibrium price.
  • Hey Brooke, can you be quiet? Mrs. Dean is talking and we wouldn't want to disrespect her.
  • Respect all school personnel and other students at all times.
  • In the second slide, the same two kids are walking down the hall, but now the girl is beginning to introduce the code of conduct.
  • DING!
  • You better hurry up, Jimmy. Class is starting!
  • Nah. I do what I want, when I want to do it.
  • Be on time to all classes.
  • In this slide, the girl is introducing the dress code rule, by showing a situation that could possibly happen. In the situation, a teacher is getting onto a boy for wearing something not appropriate to school. The teacher then points out what is appropriate for school attire.
  • Respect yourself Respect others Responsibility for your actions
  • Magna est veritas et praevalebit.
  • So as long as you follow these rules, and the rebel rules you will fit right in!
  • In the next slide, the same girl is introducing the rule about respecting school personnel and other students by demonstrating another possible situation. In this situation, a teacher has her back turned on the students, but two students are being disrespectful by talking and distracting other students. So one student asks politely if they could be quiet. By doing this it demonstrates how to quietly and calmly defuse the situation.
  • In this slide, the rule about being on time to class and school is being shown. In this situation, a boy is asking another boy if he is going to class but, the boy is not following the rule. In this way it is showing that not all students follow the rules, but these students will receive consequences for their actions.
  • In the last slide, we are back to the two students walking out of school and talking. We leave our scene by seeing the rebel rules on the screen, and seeing the girl and boy talking about how easy school is when you follow the rules. And the principal Mr. Ainsworth is reciting the school motto.
  • I think I'm going to like it here!
