  • In the aftermath of the battle between Eteocles and Polyneices
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Antigone : Prologue - Scene 2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By: Brianna Valencia 
  • Antigone and Ismene discuss the news that has come out of it... 
  • "Ismene, dear sister, have they told you of the new decree of our King Creon?"
  • "I thought so. And that is why I wanted you to come out here with me. There is something we must do ." 
  • "Why do you speak so strangely?" 
  • I have not, but I know of the deaths of our two brothers.
  • Creon buried Eteocles with military honors, but has sworn that no one shall bury Polynieces.
  • So I wish to go bury him, will you help me?
  • "Antigone, you are mad! What could I possibly do?"
  • You are no true sister just a traitor to this family.
  • We are just mere woman against Creon, we can not do anything.
  • Here lies Eteocles, a beloved brother and son 
  • Antigone goes alone to go bury her brother, Polyneices...
  • RIP Eteocles
  • Antigone is deeply sadden by the deaths of her brothers, as well as the law Creon made dealing with their deaths.
