Fort Whoop-Up was the largest out of 40 whisky trading post. It was armed with cannons, the stockades were very high, and the windows were barred up.
Those are huge stockades. Why do they have cannons? This place is very high maintenance.
Whisky was a very popular thing to trade when Americans that took place in the Civil War came over to Canada since Canada didn't have any police force. The Americans were often mean the First Nations.
I got the good stuff. You want some whisky? As long as you give me those buffalo pelts.

Whiskey was full of harmful ingredients, such as rotten tobacco leaves, pure alcohol, painkillers, soap, red ink, etc. If you were to ingest this, you would be ingesting pure alcohol, which can kill you. The people who drank this would die of poisoning, or get very sick (which would restrict them from gathering food for their families)
