Romeo and Juliet walked to the park and around town. They discovered that they had a lot in common. Juliet knew Romeo wasn't as rich as her, but that didn't matter! Romeo asked Juliet, "Would you like to go to the dance with me?" Juliet replied excitedly, "YES!"
The day was finally here; the school dance! Juliet couldn't wait to meet Romeo there.'"Who are you going with?" her mother asked. "A boy named Romeo." Juliet responded. "I know who that boy is and who his family is. They are filthy and just not like us. You may not dance with him!" Juliet went off to the dance, upset by what her parents said.
Romeo and Juliet arrived at the dance, both dressed in their best clothes. "You look great!" they both said at the same time. Chuckling, Romeo asked Juliet to dance. Juliet thought about what her parents said. But, she thought that just because Romeo may not have what she has, it doesn't make him a bad person, or change their friendship. So, they danced.
Unfortunately, Juliet's parents were chaperoning that night. They saw the two kids dancing, but before they were going to split them up, they realized what Juliet had been thinking. Just because Romeo may not be as privileged as Juliet's family, it doesn't make him or his family "filthy" or "bad". Everyone is different!
From then on, Romeo and Juliet became the best of friends. Each set of parents met and realized that they got along just fine, and they were very similar. They all lived happily ever after.
