Storyboard Text

  • Utterson goes to   Jekylls house after the problem with the murder, he goes inside and he find Jekyll looking "deadly sick'
  • He is asking whether Jekyll is hiding Hyde, and Jekyll lets him know that he will never see or hear Hyde again. He shows Utterson letter written by Hyde to assure that.
  • "You have not been mad enough to hide this fellow?"
  • "I swear to God I will never set eyes on him again. I bind my honour to you that i am done with him in this world."
  • Utterson asks Poole if any post has been given to him and he says no, and later a messenger delivers an invitation written by Jekyll.
  • "There was a letter handed in today what was the messenger like?"
  • Utters asks his Head Clerk to compare the handwriting on the letter to the letter on the invitation.
  • "I have a document here in his hand writing"
  • "It is in an odd hand."
  • There is a resemblance between the letters but they are written at a different slope. His head clerk declares that the two piecesare written by the same person.
  • "Why did you compare them clerk?'
  • "Well sir, There's rather singular resemblance, the two hands are in many points identical just differently sloped."
  • Utterson is very disturbed and is convinced that Jekyll forged the letter in Hydes handwriting to cover his escape.
