Herbert told his father to make a wish but Mr. white had no idea what to wish for. Eventually Mr. White came to the conclusion of wishing for 200 pounds.
He sat alone in the darkness, gazing at the dying fire, and seeing faces in it. The last face was so horrible and so simian that he gazed at it in amazement. It got so vivid that, with a little uneasy laugh, he felt on the table for a glass containing a little water to throw over it.
A few days after they got a message from a coworker of Herbert saying that he had been caught in the machinery and that he wasn't in any pain. But, the coworker also said the Mr and Mrs. White deserved a compensation 200 pounds. *They hug eachother in disbelief*
