  • WHAT DOES IT SAY?
  • We all have certain unalienable 
  • WHERE WAS IT WRITTEN?
  • The Declaration of Independent was written , drafted, and composed by John Adams , John Livingston and Benjamin Franklin. Thomas Jefferson later became the primary drafter.
  • WHEN WAS IT WRITTEN? 
  • The  Declaration stated " all men are created equal " it also stated " they are endowed by their created with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life , liberty and pursuit of happiness. The colonist agreed and wanted to declare independence from Britain.    
  • WHY WAS IT WRITTEN?    
  • The Declaration was written, finalized, and signed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Where the Continental Congress would set forth plans to becoming a new independent nation. 
  • 
  • The finalized draft was sent to Congress and passed voting on July 2nd, 1776. On July 4th 1776 the finalized draft was sent to publication.
  • The Declaration was written for the belief of colonist in natural rights, liberties, and freedoms. It also listed grievances while getting independence from Britain.
